THE EPOCH WE NEVER MET

THE EPOCH WE NEVER MET

Sigh! The epoch we yearn not
The epoch a sage epitomized as evil
The epoch where the days seems unending
The epoch where the sun thwack the oily heads of man
Incising their dog-eared clothes
What a pity?
The epoch where the bourgeois never thinks
About the consequences of their actions
They live in fascinating manors
The epoch of hate but no love
The epoch where glory erred into a chequered misfortune
Humanity was out-washed
The proletariats were exploited mercilessly
Their labour created great wealth for the capitalists
The product of their ingenuity
Were sold for more than the value of the labour
Yet, only crumbs were left for their hunger.
During this epoch,
Even sense of belonging wasn’t an option
For the proletariats
They could even surrogate their finger(s) for food
All these cynicisms
Was god-awful to the proletariat
Equally an ill-mannered to the society
Then a sage one went on saying
‘The ruling class’
They thought their brilliance of exploitation
Could last forever
Not knowing that capitalism contained
The seeds of its own destruction
Perhaps they could not survive without the underclass
But the continual wringing of the underclass
Created a great resentment
The proletariat led a revolution
Against the capitalist
The underclass struggle
Led to the overthrowing of the capitalist
and their supporters.
Succeeding this defeat,
A new epoch was born
‘The classless society’
Where man seems equal
This ideology was based on
‘from each according to his abilities,
to each according to his needs’.
An epoch where equality reigns
and the state simply withers away.
This new epoch was suppose to be a sheath
For the new generations
But I realise after a long scribble,
That we still evolve around that cruel epoch.

A REVIEW ON MYSELF

TITLE : A REVIEW ON MYSELF  I wasn't able to study law  Which allows me not to judge my flaw (s)  I accepted it as what life has drawn  I'm moving in a pace so as not to step on a claw. One faithful day, I stare at myself  Through the mirror, then I asked the mirror  What are you capable of doing for yourself?  Then I said nothing, maybe it's an error.  This is why I'm making a review  A guy like me has always crave for a perfect love  If not everyone knows, but few  Knows it's a great pathology I'm unable to solve.  They will say to me, Ibbwrites  With the way you write in great plights  You ought to have one, if not perfect  A lass that is not far off, and will never defect.  Thank God for making me who I'm  I'm not like a falling water in the dam  I'm growing everyday, can't you see my farm?  I'm confident always, and feel so calm.  I'm always afraid to wo...

MY SOLACE

TITLE : MY SOLACE  Happy Birthday to my solace  My makeup when I have a dull face  My sugar in the time of sour taste  Obviously we're from a different caste.  It will be so cruel  If I can't pen something for you here Because the day we met there  We became intimate with no fear.  Before today, you're just a friend  But now, you're a sister to the end I'll be your lawyer, if you have a case to defend Today is yours, and that's the new trend. With your stature, you're my infant  Trust you as my confidant  Sometimes I accept to be a fool When you tease me on who's more beautiful. She's my perfect place of comfort Consoling me in the time of distress thought  My cute girlfriend, adorable and short  Don't mind me, you're still my fort.  You've showed me love in many ways  Even when I change and sways How can I appreciate those days You cared for me in many ways.  My baby girl,...

RAVEN

The obstacles are unfeigned Me thinking of my present life… Now seems like a fictitious poem The scriptures could not avow me But destiny keeps me in the pace I became the sprinter The eclipse of the sun in the day Could not make thou blind Autumns burned me And my premature white hairs Like when deciduous trees lose their leaves I was pounded on the rhythm of… A yamless mortar with a pestle High and low. High and Low Birds flew to the sky I don’t know what they do If they spy or they pry But I know they could help me cry Cry out my raven Oh you lustrous black birds I freed you from genus corvus I’ve rolled a while sheet of English alphabets Fly in a black jet of sparrow feathers To my Papa and Mama Tell them I’ve learnt the alphabets of life Tell them I’ve been able to transcribe… Transcribe their antecedent of unknown words Tell them their echoes has inspired their child Tell them I’m bringing home the baton o...
