MY ROSE
BY: AJAO IBRAHIM BELLO
My Rose, my gold
Simply an epitome of love as I was told
When I first met her in the lake
My head keeps me awake
From the emergence of somnolence
That almost kept me in a state of drowsiness
I wonder my hands
Reached out for yours
In the hours of our tours
Everytime I start walking
I walked towards you dancing
I tried going away
But you keep coming closer everyday
Our love never stopped at one place
And never stopped moving at one pace
My Rose, the flora of my flower
Her love pours on me like the water in my shower
I thought I could
But I think I should
Find someone to keep the bad memories
I saw when reading my diaries
How much can I praise you, my queen?
You're my courage and my keen
You're simply my Rose
Because whenever I see you, Rose
Your beauty makes me feel overdose
When I stood up to you, staring at your face,
Then I see love in another world, another phase.
